I was thinking it would be simple to find a job when I was finished with HVAC maintenance school.
After all, that was one of the most excellent selling points for that program.
All certified HVAC equipment professionals can find work, because it is easily one of the fastest-growing careers in the country… I easily thought that I would finish with my certification program, take the test, plus begin easily working as an HVAC professional in the same exact month. I was quite disappointed when I learned it was going to be way harder than that. After finishing with HVAC equipment maintenance school, it took many months to find a job. I had my certification, however nobody even wanted to hire a person that did not have any experience. I had a charming letter of recommendation from my college professor, however no one asked to look at the note. I went on to a bunch of interviews plus it took about 2 months before I finally found a job. The company is a commercial maintenance service plus they are known all over the country. They have branches in every single state plus the company employs a little more than 10,000 people across the nation. I had to spend numerous weeks in training, although I did receive the respected pay. After that, I trained with a licensed professional for an additional 2 weeks. When I was finally finished with training, I was a few months into the job plus I felt like a true professional. I wasn’t especially happy about the long training period, although I easily did learn a pretty good amount about HVAC equipment maintenance work.
