By the time the sunlight goes down, I’m able to lower that for a cooling comfortable night
I was looking at the 10 afternoon forecast and it’s the first time this year that I see several afternoons with temps in the upper 90’s. So there is no doubt that every one of us are in the midst of heat season here in this region. Of course it’s no surprise really. And I have been preparing for just this scenario for the last few months. For the last multiple years, I have gotten particularly serious when it comes to reducing the costs of Heating and Air Conditioning cooling while I was in the hottest part of our year. Heating and Air Conditioning cooling costs are something that every one of us deal with for nearly 8 months of the year. However, those middle 4 months are the a singles that easily push the utility costs up. For years, I simply complained and kept writing checks that were stupid high. Then I changed all that by just making a moderate effort to reign in the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling costs. It starts with making sure the Heating and Air Conditioning unit is in top for and operating at its most efficient. All that’s required is a repair trip from the Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman. The rest is up to me. So, I make sure all the weather stripping around all the doors, sliders and window is in enjoyable shape and not sunlight disfigured. Next, I break out the solar drapes for the sides of the cabin that get direct sunshine heating. But it’s the Heating and Air Conditioning temperature control that is the key. I toil from cabin so I’m able to adjust it upward as the afternoon heats up. On average, I keep the temperature control around the low 74’s while I was in the afternoon. By the time the sunlight goes down, I’m able to lower that for a cooling comfortable night. And just doing these things saves us hundreds each Summer on Heating and Air Conditioning costs.
