The tiny home gym was the best place for all of us to escape when we needed time alone.
We loved being a big family, but at times the house got too crowded.
That’s why we chose to build a small gym area at the further corner of the property. Then we set up a schedule when everyone could spend some time working out or just getting some quiet time. One summer morning, I went to exercise and noticed the mini-split AC wasn’t working. The cooling unit was our saving grace since it was so hot and humid outside. I called my dad and let him know the window AC unit wasn’t functioning. He asked me to head back to the main house, and we reached an AC company for repair. The HVAC enterprise sent over an AC technician who was skilled and qualified to work on a ductless HVAC unit. I took him to the gym and showed him the window we had mounted the cooling unit on. He let me know it wasn’t uncommon for the mini-split HVAC to develop issues, especially during such a hot summer month. The more we cranked up the air conditioning, the harder the system had to work, affecting its longevity. Also, there was the usual wear and tear that most electrical appliances started to exhibit after some time. For our mini-split AC, the issue was a broken motor which made it impossible for the system to blow cold air into the gym. The motor would take time to revolve since the AC technician had to order the exact part from the manufacturer to repair it. Luckily we had a portable AC unit in the house we could use in the meantime until the AC professional fixed the ductless AC system. Dad was happy with the information and knew we would soon be enjoying the cool air from the ductless cooling unit.
