Ever since I first moved out on our own, I was sure to always change the air filters with our HVAC system.
The thing is, I wasn’t always finding the most reliable air filters.
I would just buy whatever happened to be available or whatever was on sale. So long as it was the right size to fit our HVAC, I thought there were no problems. Well, I ended up experiencing a few problems, however poor air quality was the number 1 problem. People would always ask me if I was changing our air filters because they could see dust floating around in the air. They also would ask if I was getting the HVAC duct idea cleaned. I thought that would be a task for the landlord to take care of, but the 1 guy I asked just laughed at me. I didn’t ask any other landlords about HVAC duct cleaning after that, but why shouldn’t people ask? Anyway, I eventually l received from a buddy that I had to use quality air filters if I wanted better air quality. I started investing in air filters with higher MERV ratings. Honestly, the higher you can afford, the better your air quality will be. I generally go for the air filters that say they are wonderful for people with dust irritations, then you think if they can block pet dander & allergens, you are entirely going to be okay. They have worked wonderful over the years & people undoubtedly prefer hanging out at our venue these days now that I have better air quality. I’m glad I made the change.
