I’ve been trying to convince my husband that we need to upgrade our thermostat.

It’s the traditional, brass, dial thermostat that came in every house built in the 70’s. It may have worked back then, but it barely works now. The only way to read the temperature is to squint your eyes really hard and attempt to see what number the dial is on. If it’s dark, forget about looking at the temperature because you won’t be able to read the thermostat. My husband thinks that we need a new HVAC system before we update our outdated thermostat. I see his point, but we can’t afford a brand new HVAC system at the moment. We can afford a new thermostat though. I also believe that a smart thermostat would help our old HVAC equipment run more efficiently. Smart thermostats are known for programming your furnace and air conditioner to run based on your heat and air preferences. It finds the best way to keep your house comfortable while running at an affordable price. Since we aren’t in a place to update our HVAC system, the least we can do is spend a few hundred dollars to help our old HVAC system run better. It would be worth paying more upfront if it meant our utility bills would be lower. One day, my husband is going to have to agree with me. Everyone agrees that a smart thermostat is the best on the market.
