I didn’t know if I was hearing things or if my mind was playing tricks on me, but I felt like the A/C plan was running harder and sounding louder than usual whenever I was home.

My A/C would turn on for a few minutes. It would then turn off and the condo would get stuffy. This cycle would continue off and on. So I waited as long as I could before calling a Heating and A/C professional, because I didn’t want to sound stupid. The HVAC professional was friendly and he took my complications in stride. He checked out the A/C and asked me how often I had my Heating and Air Conditioning plan looked at. I said three times a year, but in reality, I could not remember the last time my Heating as well as Air Conditioning system had been looked at by a Heating and Air Conditioning professional. I wish I would have been honest with my answer, because I only embarrassed myself. The HVAC technician then removed my outdated air filter so he could show me just how disgusting it was. The air filter had been completely neglected and it really showed! There was a lot of dirt and dust buildup on it, and it was falling off onto the floor! The Heating and Air Conditioning professional knew that I’d lied about how often I had my HVAC system taken care of, because there was no way that a real HVAC professional would forget to replace the air filter during their visit to my house.
