Water from the hot water faucet in the bathroom was ice cold so I went to check in the kitchen because I was running late and I needed to take a shower.
The water there was also ice cold.
The last time something like this happened I took a french bath and I was self-conscious the whole day at work. The boiler had broken down again, it was the third time in three months that I would be calling a heating technician to come and fix it. The last time I had called the heating dealer to do the yearly heating maintenance, they had suggested that I look into replacing the entire heating and air conditioning system or look for an alternative heating device. I did my research on heating technology and read reviews on them. I was still not convinced so l called a heating business to get more information. By the end of it all, I did not do anything to remedy the situation. Instead, I bought an electric kettle to boil water for days when the shower did not have hot water. At the time I had some medical bills to settle and so I could not afford the heat pump install system that I needed. The upfront cost of an electric heat pump; the heating device plus the installation cost went up to several thousands of dollars and I did not have such a large amount of money. The other option was to go for heated floors and that also was not cheap. Even the dial thermostat was having issues and it gave me a hard time trying to reset to comfortable temperatures. I had implemented all the energy saving tips there just to try to save and get a new system.
