The refrigeration lines were shredded into pieces

I told the woman that it looked like someone purposely cut the lines, but I couldn’t be sure

Friday was just like any other day in the heating and air conditioning business. I got up in the morning before the Sun was shining. I made a pot of coffee and tied an English muffin with a piece of ham and two eggs. I took a shower and drove to the location of my first job. I always keep that repair truck at my home, so I don’t have to worry about going to the workshop first. The first job on the schedule for me was an AC repair. The customer called in the middle of the night and I scheduled the appointment first thing in the morning. When I arrived at the residence, I checked on all of the air conditioner parts and pieces. I immediately noticed something strange. The refrigeration lines were shredded into pieces. They looked very strange and almost appeared to be deliberately cut. I told the homeowner that I believe the refrigeration lines were the reason why the air conditioner was not working properly. I replaced the refrigeration lines and that did indeed fix the problem. Homeowner wanted to know how the refrigeration lines ended up in pieces, but I honestly didn’t have any good explanation. I told the woman that it looked like someone purposely cut the lines, but I couldn’t be sure. It definitely did not look like something that I have ever seen before, and I have been in the heating and air conditioner repair business for 25 years. I suggested she contact the sheriff’s office to file a report for vandalism.
