On some Winter evenings, the temperature does drop below normal, and I do use the heat on those nights
I live in a two-bedroom beach house with two bathrooms in a fantastic town. My neighbors are quiet and respectful. Our neighborhood is full of eating establishments, so we don’t have to go out of our way to do anything. Living alone is what I prefer to do. I can use my HVAC system how I like since I live alone. My roommate and I fought a lot over heating and cooling during the three years we lived together. In the Winter, she kept the beach house very hot, while I preferred not to use the heater. It’s impossible for me to sleep in a room that is too hot, so I did what I could to keep cool, including opening the window in my bedroom. It would have been wise to invest in a smart temperature control in hindsight. Sadly, we didn’t. I can control how I cool and heat my apartment now that I live alone. On some Winter evenings, the temperature does drop below normal, and I do use the heat on those nights. But I don’t need to heat my entire home, so I just bought a small space heater so that I can use it in my bedroom or living room. I have a space heating system that has a programmable temperature control and a built-in timer with an off switch. In the winter, I don’t have to turn on my HVAC because I can use this space heater safely.
