The wrong parts were ordered for the furnace

Jack and I have been friends for a long time.

I’ve known the guy for 30 years or longer. Our children grew up together and my son is married to his daughter. The kids live close and Jack and I see each other all the time when there are family get-togethers. Last month there was a party to celebrate the christening of the new baby. Jack was at the church, so I decided to talk to him about the problems I was having with my furnace. Jack seemed happy to lend me some advice and he did not hesitate to answer my questions when I started asking. The next day, Jack came to the house to investigate the problems with the furnace. He told me that the furnace needed new parts for the electrical system. It wasn’t terribly expensive, but the parts were not in stock and they needed to be ordered. Jack ordered the parts from a distribution warehouse that sells heating and air conditioner system parts. The parts were supposed to arrive the next day. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case. When the items arrived the next morning, my furnace replacement parts were not in the delivery. When Jack called the warehouse, he found out that the fax never went through to the corporate office. The guy had to order the parts a second time and I had to wait until the following day to have the repairs completed on the furnace. All of the parts were in the delivery the next day and Jack came to the house in the morning to finish with the repair job.
