Golfing buddy is my HVAC professional

I’m pretty wild about golf.

That was part of the reason my wife and I chose to move down here.

We grew up, started careers and even raised our family way up north. That’s the part of the country where a heat pump just isn’t going to get you through the Winter. No, that’s gas furnace territory right there. My wife and I got married while we were still in college and started having kids as soon as we graduated and started careers. It was intense to have to get right to an adult life. We both went off to the commercial HVAC of our respective offices each day. It was a nice life that was focused on raising our kids. But by our mid 40’s, the kids were out on their own. So we thought moving to the south might be great. And it sure has been. We are both playing a lot of golf but I tend to like to sneak in nine holes whenever I can. We’re still both working but now, we’re inside zone controlled HVAC comfort in our new offices. Still, I can sneak in nine pretty much whenever I want. The nice thing about that is that I’m often joining groups that need a fourth. And I’ve met some great people this way. In fact, one of my best buddies is also my HVAC professional thanks to a chance meeting on the golf course. We got to talking, as you do while riding in a golf cart, which turned into a bit of an HVAC education for me. This guy has such an intense passion for all things heating and cooling. I called his HVAC company the next day and signed up for their HVAC service plan. He was that convincing.
