Protect your HVAC equipment today

So I don’t know just how we got to the point where I’m locking down the HVAC equipment outside of my home.

But it appears we are for sure at that point.

This neighborhood was once a nice, middle class place to live. Nothing too fancy but certainly a nice place to live. All the houses were kept up and had central air conditioning. Most of my neighbors were working class people just like us. We get up in the morning and get to work. And I’m not talking about the sort of work that’s done inside the zone controlled HVAC of some office building downtown. We all work hard for our living at jobs that demand a lot physically as well as mentally. But over the years, once nice homes became run down and this end of town sort of went down the tubes. That makes it tough to live out the dream my wife and had when we first bought this house. It would be an investment that we could one day sell and then retire. But it doesn’t look so good now as the property values in our area have stagnated and worse. These days, I’ve had to put a steel cage over my HVAC equipment alongside the house. This is just to keep the thing from being torn apart for a handful of copper fittings. That’s where we are now and I can hardly believe it. It won’t be too much longer before my days of working are through. But the idea of upgrading the HVAC equipment and then selling the house for a bunch of money appears not to be. Looks like I’ll be retiring right here in this house so I best protect my HVAC equipment right now.
