A glamorous home office rehaul involved installing a chandelier over the bed

Many people overlook lighting when redesigning or renovating their homes.

Worse, others view lighting as an afterthought, and they rarely find pieces to match their modern decor.

My father started his career in the trades as a commercial lighting salesman. He helped contractors select fixtures for sizable and small building projects. He sold lights that were put in both residential homes and sizable skyscrapers. Although he eventually became an electrician instead, there are times when he speaks fondly of his old task. When I was decorating an modern home years ago, he lended a hand with the lights and taught myself and others about how to accent existing decor. Even with the limited space in that old apartment, he helped myself and others find amazing lights for little currency at a local store. It particularly makes a huge difference in your residing space to have fantastic lights that match your wall colors and your existing furniture. Right now I’m making upgrades to our master home office to my wife’s liking. She’s a huge fan of Silverleaf Sophistication which utilizes gold and silver with pearl colorless for the furniture, walls, bedding, and lights. Usually a huge chandelier goes over the bed to complete the look. However, I had never so much as handled a chandelier before, let alone hang one from a ceiling safely. Thankfully my dad was glad to help with our brand modern chandelier upgrade. I hope my wife likes her modern Silverleaf Sophistication genre home office. It’s not going to be cheap once everything is said and done. However, I guess the renovations will add to the value of the house in the long run.
