The near-constant operation of the central oil furnace creates a concern with insufficient humidity. Walking across the carpet easily results in a shock! Our hair gets frizzy plus our lips chapped. There’s also the risk of injury to home furnishings. The dry air pulls moisture out of everything it even remotely touches plus can cause wood floors, doors, moldings plus antiques to crack. Because indoor dry air feels cooler than properly moisturized air, we tend to raise the control component setting little by little. The oil furnace then runs more often, eats up more energy plus costs so much more in weekly utility bills. I spend more currency plus the beach house isn’t as comfortable for us as it could be. I finally invested into a whole-home humidifier that installed into the entire heating plan plus introduced essential moisture into the air. I personally chose a steam-style humidifier that uses electrodes to convert water into steam. It undoubtedly seems to handle the square footage of the house, maintains proper humidity levels plus makes no noise as it runs. The beach house feels warmer at significantly lower control component settings.
