It feels funny to myself and others being an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist these days

It’s still kind of odd to myself and others occasionally that I am an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional. I served our country overseas in the Middle East, and that was a strenuous experience. I was actually a medic out in the field. The main reason why I served was that I wanted all my schooling to be covered. Well, it was however the traumatizing experiences I faced still haunt myself and others to this day. I decided that I could no longer work on people after trying to save people who could not be saved out there. When the enemy is hitting you with explosive weapons, things get ugly real quick. I have seen some things I just cannot talk about without the feeling of total despair. So I decided I had to find work after I did my time in the military. I went to school to become an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional, and it came pretty naturally to me. I figured that laboring on Heating, Ventilation, and A/C systems had to be the furthest thing from being a medic out in the field, however in ways it feels similar. I go rushing to unusual houses to save people from dealing with serious heat or frosty conditions. I am out here saving lives, however at least it’s done in a way that I can deal with. I don’t think I could ever deal with being in another war, and I hope that it never comes to that again. I don’t even want my children to have to go through such a horrible experience. Perhaps they will get into the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C industry care about I chose to do in the end.
