Kept enough money to buy myself HVAC

The book Rich Dad, Poor Dad changed my life.

It is all about investing and being smart with your money.

Basically you need to stop letting your money sit in a bank account and do nothing. You need to buy stocks, property or do something else that brings money in. I took his advice to heart and it is rewarding but scary. It is hard not leaving a big nest egg in my bank account. There is no reason to keep money in the bank when the value of a dollar is going down and the stock market is going up. But I like to keep money on hand. The author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad basically says to pay yourself first and bills later. You can be late on credit cards and other payments as long as you do worthwhile investments. I have trouble with this one. Recently my heating and air conditioning machine just stopped working. I couldn’t fix it myself and needed to call the HVAC contractor in. The guy told me my machine was totaled. I needed a brand new HVAC device. Since I haven’t followed the author’s advice to a T, I had all the money right in my bank account. It was tight paying that bill but I was able to pay it. The author would have been disgusted by me. I don’t like going into debt and owing people money. I like knowing I can buy my HVAC equipment right then and there and not have to do payment plans. I am glad my new HVAC device is the one I want and will be installed immediately. I guess I am never going to be rich.
