I’ve had numerous HVAC technicians work on my HVAC equipment over the years.
I wasn’t particularly impressed with anybody’s work until recently though.
My brother was telling me about a good friend of his who was basically a jack of all trades. He was a retired HVAC professional but he did a lot of types of work in his working career. He knew how to do roofing, siding, various types of woodwork, and he worked on cars too. When it came to HVAC work, he even knew about the modern type of HVAC jobs like installing radiant heated floors or a ductless mini split system. When I met this guy, he was really cool. I didn’t know what to expect but we were able to get along right away. I could see why my brother really cherished this guy as a good friend. We talked about my HVAC troubles and the guy said he would check everything out and I didn’t have to worry about any costs just yet until he knew what was going on. He was able to discover I had an issue with my ductwork system as there were numerous holes and leaks. This was bad news to hear because I knew that it would cost a small fortune to have it fixed. After careful consideration, he said I would need to install a ductless HVAC instead of trying to repair the ductwork. He said it was a wise move because I would have a new HVAC that’s highly energy efficient and he would charge way less than the competitors. I went for it and this guy did a fantastic job on the new HVAC installation. I also can’t believe how cheap it was and now I have him work on my HVAC regularly because I trust this guy.
