For a little while, I was putting off getting a new air filter for my AC system on account of me not having enough cash.
I was waiting for my next payday and then I definitely was going to the store.
Well, during the time that I had to wait to get a new air filter, the air quality in my household was becoming awful. It actually got so bad that I was embarrassed to have anybody over to my place. When my friends asked if they could hang out at my house and watch some movies in my basement home movie theater, I told them we would have to take a raincheck on that because there was something wrong with my sound system. Of course, that wasn’t the case, I just didn’t want anybody to be there and have to deal with the poor air quality. I probably should have just told my friends that, but I felt too embarrassed and self-conscious about it. I suggested we just hang out at the park and get in a few games of basketball. Out of all the things, that’s the cheapest form of entertainment and exercise, so that worked for everybody. I also appreciate how they have drinking fountains because you get very thirsty while playing bball. When I finally got my paycheck, I rushed to cash it and it was running late. I dashed to the hardware store and barely made it in time to buy a new air filter. Seriously, the owner of the store was about to flip the sign when I arrived, but fortunately he let me in and told me to please be quick. I was fast and told him how I needed that air filter because my air quality at home was really terrible.
