Vacuuming daily keeps the excess dust out of my expensive HVAC filters

My heating and cooling system filters have increased to $18 a piece and are difficult to budget for when you live in an already dusty environment right out the gate.

My parents gave my siblings and I chores on a rotation schedule. They didn’t believe in having one person do a particular chore all of the time. Even if my sister hated mowing the lawn, she was obligated to do it at least once a month on a rotating basis along with myself and my younger brother. We were also all expected to cook at least one meal a week, which did wonders for teaching us all basic cooking skills. Neither of my siblings took to cooking with the same fervor that I did, but that didn’t stop them from learning enough to cook for themselves in adulthood and all of the years in between. I think it was the cleaning that had the biggest positive benefit for us all. I know that my parents’ insistence on constant dusting and vacuuming has made me a cleaner person and I have better indoor air quality in my house as a result. Vacuuming daily keeps the dust levels down, preventing more dust from going airborne, getting into my lungs, and clogging my expensive HVAC filters. My heating and cooling system filters have increased to $18 a piece and are difficult to budget for when you live in an already dusty environment right out the gate. If I don’t vacuum to keep the dust at bay, it will go airborne and clog my HVAC filter quicker. Then I have to buy more filters every year to prevent problems with the air conditioner getting unnecessary wear and tear. That’s why I invested in a good vacuum with a cleanable HEPA filter on the air exhaust.
