Don't be like me and forget about your air purifier filter for a year

Even though I quit drinking alcohol, I feel like my brain goes through spells of forgetfulness that last for days and weeks on end.

It’s harder for me in life if I don’t make lists to remember all of the things I have to do or buy on a week by week basis.

I can’t imagine how terrible it would be for me to have kids right now. It pains me to think what would happen if I forgot to pick up one of my kids from school on a random afternoon. My mom did that once when I was in elementary school, but instead of forgetting myself or my sister at school, she forgot to pick up my neighbor’s daughter who was supposed to carpool with us that afternoon. She was left at school for an hour back in the days prior to everyone having a cell phone, as this was in the 1990s. My mom was so upset with herself and probably apologized to our friend a thousand times, along with groveling to her parents, our neighbors. However, they understood that people make mistakes and quickly forgave my mom. At least I haven’t been that bad, but I did manage to forget the filter in my air purifier for over a year recently. It’s not even like I quit using the air purifier and simply left it off the entire time. By contrast, I had the thing running almost nonstop the entire time it had a clogged filter blocking the air flow and causing unseen damage to the fan motor.
