A few years ago, my wife and I finally achieved our dream of buying our own home. It wasn’t easy, and it took many years of saving, but finally we managed to buy our very own home. When we bought the home, I never paid much attention to the central air conditioner. It did its job well, and that is all that mattered to me. However, I did notice it was lacking an outside HVAC component, which I thought was weird, I just figured that for some reason our A/C machine did not have an outdoor heating and cooling component. But now, as I was standing on our balcony looking out, I now realize I have been wrong all along. Because from up here, I can see we in fact do have a central A/C outdoor unit, it is just hidden behind the bushes in our backyard. I feel a bit stupid now. I asked my wife if she had ever noticed this and she told me yes she had, and that was something she liked about our home, because she apparently found the A/C units to be tacky looking, so beautiful bushes hiding them made her happy, and made the community look better. As I looked at our neighboring homes, most of them had the same thing, you couldn’t tell there even was a HVAC machine, at least, until it turned on and made a sound. I felt dumb for not noticing this sooner, but it is what it is.
