Have you ever worked in an office that has unreliable a/c? I am currently working in a single, and let myself and others tell you, it is certainly discouraging! Usually, if your manager owns the building, you are more likely to get the a/c repaired if necessary; well, myt manager rents the office space, and trying to get anything much done is almost a moot point, then especially something that is lavish, love Heating and Air Conditioning, is unlikely to be updated until it is so awful that people are not renewing their leases; Well, our air conditioner became so unreliable that I decided to go out and get a ceiling fan from the home goods store, and then all of us contacted a handyman and got him to install the ceiling fan right over our desk! Of course, I had to pay for all this out of our own pocket, but there are some things in life that I just have to have in order to be useful at work, and if I do not have great air conditioner, then at least I need a fan, however the strange thing is that occasionally I am chilly, even without the ceiling fan running, and other times I literally have sweat running down our neck.
The thermostat in our boss’s office is always 4 degrees hotter than those in the rest of the site.
That is a large problem for him, even though she wouldn’t get a ceiling fan for her office, so she just continues to suffer. The locale I worked before was owned by our manager, and all of us never had any difficulties with Heating and Air Conditioning because all of us took great care of it and got common Heating and Air Conditioning service. I miss those days.
