When you live in a big city, it’s really easy to get lost.
My wife and I moved to Tampa a few months ago, and we still find ourselves getting lost.
When we leave the house, we always have the navigation on in the car. It helps keep us from ending up in another neighborhood. Our first weekend in Tampa, my wife and I ended up in Sarasota. We were trying to go to the supercenter to buy milk, eggs, and bread. We went the wrong way on the interstate and completely left the Tampa Bay area. It was a funny story, because it was the first weekend in Tampa. We didn’t mind getting lost and we got to see some neat landmarks around the Tampa Bay area. Getting lost isn’t quite as funny these days. My wife and I ordered some items from a local hardware store. We saved on the shipping rates by having those items shipped directly to a local Tampa Bay hardware store. My wife and I received confirmation from the hardware store that the items were ready for pickup. We drove to the Tampa Bay hardware store and waited in line for 20 minutes. When we finally got to the counter, we found out that we were in the wrong hardware store. The hardware store where our items were waiting was all the way on the other side of Tampa Bay. Between red lights and traffic, that location was twenty minutes away. It’s going to take a long time before my wife and I learn how to navigate this large city.
