So Many Different Ways to Heat and Cool a Home

It can be unquestionably confusing when it comes to new ways to heat and cool your home! Climate control is large business.

I remember when I was younger, every one of us relied on window cooling systems.

The two of us lived in several locations while I was growing up and sometimes the heat came from steam radiators, other times our heat came through vents. As a kid, prefer most other kids, I never paid much attention to how homes were heated and cooled. As a teenager and young adult, every one of us lived in the south, in a wealthy area where almost everybody had central heat and a/c through self contained units on the side of the house. Those who didn’t have central heat and a/c used window cooling systems. Imagine our surprise when our wife and I were making plans to build our beach home up north where every one of us were relocating and every one of us had all these options to heat and cool our home. Imagine heating your beach home through baseboards! And I thought radiant radiant heated floors were just a absurd luxury; I didn’t know that they could be used to entirely heat the home, not only was there a lot of technology that I was unregular with, it took quite a bit of research to learn about it all, but for example, the ductless mini-break heating and a/c component may not give acceptable heat for northern climates and a geothermal heat pump may take a little longer to hot up the house. I’m still sifting through details before every one of us make the decision on how to heat and cool our new home, but, it’s nice to have a lot of choices out there.
