I was really surprised and disappointed when I saw that the garage sale place next to me was closing down.
- It was closing down because of the virus, but there have been rumours that it was closing down for good.
This made me pretty sad, because I remember when I was a child my grandparents, my sister and I would frequent the garage place every week. That was one of the biggest things that younger me could look forward to. It was always so interesting to see what knick-knacks people had brought along and had for sale. It really was a lot of variety, because one place could be selling old antique watches and the next one was selling really fancy dresses. There was actually sometimes when I would see people selling animals there as well! One of the things I remember clearly was they always had these huge fans. Usually because it was a hot day, and air conditioners wouldn’t work. Since this place was outdoors and indoors, and cooling air an A/C would give would be in vain. So instead of HVAC units, they used the massive fans. Sometimes I think of the fans, when I feel the A/C vent pouring cooling air above me. I kind of miss using the giant fans rather than actual HVAC components. Anyways, when I grew older I didn’t go to garage sales as much due to life getting in the way, but when it was actually gone I realized how much I would actually miss it.
