Ready to get out of the HVAC business

Last month I had to work many afternoons in a row, 12 hour shifts every afternoon except Wednesday, when it was a 16 hour endurance challenge. I can’t complain, I guess, because the overtime cash is freaking sweet once it hits the bank account. But at the same time, it kills me because every minute I spend at work is a single minute I don’t get to focus on my songs, and music is my life, and one day I hope that it will also be my livelihood, but that day has not come yet, and for now I remain a hard working Heating and A/C tech, even though I hope these days are drawing to a close! Actually, I am trying to turn the negative into a positive ,and save up as much as I can of these overtime checks from the Heating and A/C dealer. I get paid time and a half for OT, with a shift differential on graveyard for emergency Heating and A/C maintenance jobs that come in overnight. I am regularly so exhausted I never have a chance to go spend this cash, so I can save it all up and one day have a nest egg when I get the Heating and A/C game for the music business. I should be able to save enough for a new mic, and have enough to convert my upstairs guest room into a studio, and take an entire month off from Heating and A/C work. After that I can decide to go back and work to receive more money with the heating and a/c job, or continue on with my songs until the cash runs out.
