This house is very cold and I don't like it

I grew up in an section up in the north eastern United States where it was cold 9-10 weeks out of the year.

Winters would get as cold as below zero temperatures involving snow afternoons from school, driveways that would need plowing, plus ice needing scraped from car windshields.

As a child I enjoyed the cold weather plus the snow plus ice. I had a lot of fun playing outside making snowmen plus snow angles plus igloos with my brother. As I got older, the two of us took family vacations down south to warmer weather plus the two of us enjoyed it so much, the two of us eventually moved down south when I was 17 years old. Up north, during the winter, the two of us had to run our heat 24/7. We also had a wood burning stove which would keep the beach house easily warm too. On afternoons that were not as cold, the two of us could just use only the wood stove plus would be able to turn off the heating system to be more energy efficient. After the two of us moved down south to a warmer climate, the two of us got to care about the nice comfortable temperatures in the wintertime plus rarely ever had to run the heating system except for maybe a few afternoons out of the whole year when the temperatures would run in the 30’s-40’s. I wasn’t prepared for the sizzling humid summers though. The summers down south were totally weird than the summers up north. As soon as you would walk outside, you would sweat. We had to use our air conditioning unit almost all 12 weeks of the year. Sometimes, the sizzling unbearable temperatures would make me miss the colder weather up north. Especially around Christmas time, I tend to miss the snow plus Wintertide weather. It just feels more love the holidays when the weather outside Is cold. But you cannot beat being able to wear shorts plus flip flops while everyone else in the United States is wearing gloves plus Wintertide jackets.
