Dirty a/c makes me sick

The worker cleaned the a/c and treated the various components with chemicals to kill the bacterial growth

Late last Springtime, I started feeling ill. I suffered from frequent headaches, congestion, sore throat and itchy esure. I had difficulty sleeping and no energy during the day. I regularly coughed, sneezed and blew my nose. I missed a lot of nights of work. I got a prescription from the doctor, tried house remedies and over-the-counter medication… Nothing seemed to help. I didn’t figure out the complication until the weather cooled off and I shut down the a/c. All of a sudden, I felt so much better. Once I opened the windows and let some fresh air into the house, my symptoms disappeared. I realized that I’d started feeling unwell when I lowered the control unit and ran the a/c. I instantly tied up an appointment for professional maintenance for the cooling system. The dealer who arrived at the condo took the a/c apart. She showed me the buildup of contaminants within the inner toilings. She pointed out the growth of mold on the coils and algae in the condensate drain. There was a tremendous amount of dust, mildew and disgusting debris. She said that every time the a/c started up, those contaminants were becoming airborne and getting spread throughout the home. I then breathed them into my lungs and got sick. The worker cleaned the a/c and treated the various components with chemicals to kill the bacterial growth. She also cleaned the duct system. I now make sure to schedule professional service for the a/c in the early Springtime and for the gas furnace in the fall.
