Advantages of a hybrid oil furnace

I had never heard of a hybrid oil furnace until I considered installing central air conditioner! Our condo was outfitted with a forced air gas gas furnace when both of us moved in, then the gas furnace was fairly current and kept the condo nice and sizzling during the worst of the Wintertide weather, in the summer, both of us were attempting to combat un-even temperatures in the upper eighties and excessive humidity with window a/cs and box fans.

I wanted to substitute to a whole-house cooling system.

I called a local HVAC dealer to get a free estimate on installation! After inspecting the home, the dealer recommended I give some consideration to purchasing a heat pump rather than an a/c. The setback of a heat pump is that it’s quite a bit more fancy than a conventional cooling system, however, there are all sorts of advantages. Heat pumps are exceptionally energy efficient and environmentally friendly. In cooling mode, the system is unquestionably nice at combating high humidity. The main advantage is that the heat pump can also give high-efficiency heating, then when the weather cools off, the system literally reverses operation. It finds ambient heat in the outdoor air and brings it indoors. It costs a lot less to run than the gas furnace, then because there’s no combustion process, there’s no fear over carbon monoxide or yellowhouse gases. Once the temperature drops down below freezing, the heat pump is no longer effective. At that point, the gas furnace automatically takes over. The hybrid oil furnace knows to use the fuel source that is most beneficial at any given time. It saves a tremendous amount of energy on energy bills all year round.
