I thought I knew how to create websites.
I went on Google and found a local company that gave you all the information you needed to start a personal website. They walked you through building a website and even gave you strange backgrounds to choose from, and fonts, and other kinds of tools. I thought I was getting a rather nice website for our new Heating and A/C company. I didn’t realize that I had to put in a sign-up page and attach it to a link that would allow the sign-up to go anywhere. I didn’t even realize that I needed to go anywhere. I think I was thinking that the sign-ups were going magically into our SMS. I was so distraught that I had made a mistake, that I started constantly checking our website every couple hours. When I hadn’t seen a single visit, I had to get some help. I signed up for our own newsletters, however I never got an SMS. I called our sibling and told him about the website. When he called myself and others back he told myself and others that the website was decent, however I wasn’t going to get any company from it. The links were all dead. She helped myself and others with building the links and he also added SEO into our website. With a couple of keywords and some choice links from the website to our company SMS, I was quickly starting to get a couple of hits to our website, every single day. I wasn’t sure if I would get much business, however I was seeing some help. I wished that I had known our sibling was now working with SEO, long before I started building our website.
