When I graduated high college I married our bestie plus he joined the service! Since then the 2 of us have been all over the world, however it seems like our husband is constantly getting shipped to a current location; Due to this, there is no reason for us to own a house, and at this point, I don’t even want a single, then with a house I would be paying for repairs, upkeep plus a mortgage.
With our husband gone all the time, the plumbing, electrical plus Heating as well as A/C concerns would be up to me.
Since I don’t have any youngsters, it was a smart transfer to stick with rentals! Most rentals push to have a year long lease, and thankfully our husband plus I always find bi-weekly leasing options. With the army they hook us up with fully furnished apartments for the duration of his deployment. I like that I don’t need to own a couch, bed, television or dresser. It makes traveling so much easier. My husband plus I have been to quite a few odd countries plus I only bring a single suitcase with me. I get to stay in the best location with everything at our fingertips. I always have a home office with fairly current appliances plus a bathroom with all scrub fixtures. If anything goes wrong, I am not the a single paying for or making the repairs. A fully furnished apartment is particularly the way to go if you are a current couple in the military. Someday our husband will get in an section plus stay there for more than a year. When the people I was with and I decide to have youngsters, buying a house will be next.
