I’m very happy with my new job.
It’s close to home and I don’t spend any money on gas or car maintenance.
My job has a lot of great perks. I have insurance and a retirement savings plan. I have a great boss and a flexible schedule. The best part about my job is taking home my work vehicle. My wife and I only have one vehicle, so it has always been difficult for both of us to adjust our schedule. We had to work separate shifts for a long time and then her dad started letting me use his truck. Unfortunately, the truck broke down last month and I had to quit my job to find something closer to home. When I found out that I would be able to take my work vehicle home, I was over the moon with excitement. My wife was excited as well. At the end of my last heating or air conditioner repair job, I leave from the job and head directly home. In the morning, I go directly to the first job on my schedule. Employees only meet at the heating and air conditioning repair shop on Thursdays. We hand in our worksheets from the previous week, collect our paycheck, and pick up the schedule for the next day. Being able to take home my work vehicle is a great perk. The boss pays for the gas and all of the maintenance. I plan to stay here for a long time. If the boss continues to treat us with respect, I’ll retire from this repair business.
