My neighbor had some super helpful advice

The AC and my truck broke down and stopped working yesterday on my way home from work.

Thank goodness I was over halfway home, because I have a 45 mile commute to and from work.

I took the day off work so I could fix the truck and look at the AC. I had that truck parked in front of the house with the hood up and the front door open. My neighbor came over to see if he could lend some assistance. At first, I thought that guy was being nosey. I didn’t really need any help, but I decided to listen to his advice. The guy told me that he spent 15 years working as a mechanic in the military. Even though it had been a long time, he still remembered a lot of the information. He climbed under the truck and asked for a wrench. A ask for some additional information about the AC problems. Well the guy was under my truck, he got a cramp in his leg. He had to get up and go back to his house. He told me how to fix the problem and he asked me to let him know if his solution worked. I followed all of the directions that my neighbor gave and I replaced the part that he suggested was faulty. Later that afternoon, the AC was blowing cold air again. I took a cold six-pack of beer over to the neighbor’s house and I thanked him for his help. He was right about the problem and I would not have been able to fix the issue without his help and advice.
