We are part of a family who regularly tries to pass a property down to younger generations. So the two of us paid a fairly nominal fee to the estate of one of our aunts for our property. The kid’s rooms are upstairs & they were the ones getting the worst of the uneven HVAC situation. So the two of us ended up putting numerous ductless heat pumps upstairs with the children. The HVAC specialist then shut off the HVAC air ducts to the higher level. This actually made the whole thing entirely doable. The HVAC equipment that was too small is now dealing with much less space to heat & cool. And the ductless heat pumps are keeping the little ones entirely cozy upstairs.
