I was simply doing our Spring cleaning when I saw documents from the last local corporation I had worked for; but the papers took myself and others down memory lane… I had worked for the heating maintenance provider for several decades and had achieved a lot.
I also started as an actual heating and air conditioning repairman trainee and worked our way up to the supervisor of quality heating in the state. I remember doing furnace maintenance jobs and meeting all kinds of people, some of whom were truly prominent, and one was a single of the kindest men I have met in the business; then he wanted new heating equipment. He had paid for a geo heat pump, and our team of local dealers was hired to handle the upgrade. I also remembered an incident where I saved a family from an apartment fire; then we had gone to maintain his portable space furnace that had malfunctioned… Before my pal and I started the repairs, the component blew up, then fortunately, not a single one was damaged; and my pal and I rushed the family out of the apartment as my pal and I waited for the fire department. We later discovered that the digital thermostat had malfunctioned, messing up the other devices. I have served our neighborhood for forty years and provided heating maintenance to thousands of residents. I am now retired and romantic every minute of it. In the first year of our retirement, I traveled across the country and experienced a life I had only dreamed of until now. The heating companies would still contact myself and others for advice on particular processes and heating devices. Even at our own age, I am still learning more about heating and air conditioning since technology constantly swings. I encourage our children, who have since moved out, to apply the energy-saving help tips I provide them and to continue learning more about heating.
