I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go out of the country on vacation, but my wife thought we should go.
I hated telling her no since her grandmother lived abroad and she wanted to visit.
From all the brochures we had seen and all the pictures she sent us, I thought it would be a beautiful place to visit. The Cerulean seas and the wonderful landscape was pulling me in, right along with my wife. I promised to take her abroad for our anniversary so she could see her grandmother. Our trip started out badly but I was hoping it would be improved. They were having problems with the air conditioning in the airport, and I could only hope the airplane would be more comfortable. The climate control in the airplane wasn’t working properly. I ended up hot and sweating for twelve hours, with the worst odors coming from passengers and the bathrooms. All we wanted was to get off the plane and into our hotel room. On the way to the hotel, I mentioned how overcast it was. The taxi driver said it was a lovely day and we were just seeing the air pollution. The hotel room had air conditioning, but it didn’t do much for the air quality. My wife’s grandmother had excellent air conditioning and air quality. We ended up spending most of our time with her and shopping. We didn’t want to get out to do any sight seeing because it was affecting my asthma. We told Grandma it was her turn to visit next summer. We also had excellent air conditioning and air quality.
