Even outdated pets can learn new tricks. And I’m honestly an outdated pet. The new trick is having central air conditioner in our beach cabin for the first time. This came to pass last year and I have to say that I was much more impressed than I thought I would be. The two of us live way up north where the need for air conditioner just isn’t all that great. That doesn’t mean that we don’t have stretches of summer time where air conditioner is a relief. But up until last year, we had consistently just thrown in a window air conditioner to alleviate the heat for a few weeks. Yet, my partner certainly has wanted to go all in with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling. The older she’s gotten, the more sensitive she’s become to the heat. And that’s sort of weird I suppose. In my mind, I figured that the older we got, the more the brutal freezing weather would be tougher to deal with. I guess that even with the gas furnace doing all it does, I’m still freezing more often than not. But not my partner. For her, it’s the heat. And so we contacted the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professionals we’ve used for decades to talk to them about adding central air conditioner. Talking with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation, we found out that getting this sort of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling was much more affordable that I had thought. So we opted to go for it. And I have to say that it was well worth the effort and the money. My partner was so comfortable and this is the first time in a long time when she wasn’t dreading the coming summer.
