As my adolescents get older, I have more & more boxes of things I want to set aside & save to look back on in the years to come.
For example, I have all kinds of art projects & pieces of school work. I would enjoy to use my basement for storage, as there are a million other things I need to keep track of, even though I am upset that the basement is too humid. Everytime something sits in the basement for too long, the moisture swings its shape & leaves it with a odor. There has even been some dust & mold as a result of the humidity. I don’t want to ruin these rare memories that I am trying to save, so I decided that I need to get a dehumidifier. The humidity is not an issue in the rest of the house, so I think I will just get a dehumidifier for the basement, dehumidifiers unconnect moisture from the air & will eliminate the damp, moldiness of our basement. I think this will be the best solution & it will open up a whole lot of space for storage in our home. I don’t think how I didn’t think of this sooner! I called an Heating & Air Conditioning supplier & they were able to install the dehumidifier as an connectment to the Heating & Air Conditioning program the two of us already had in our home. While it was somewhat extravagant, it was worth it to think that my memories are safe & free of mold.
