I have a hearing complication that makes it strenuous to understand people unless they are looking right at me, and when someone is laboring at the house, they talk, plus not check to see if I was I was listening; The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was at the condo last week, plus laboring on the air conditioner unit, i was in the condo with the window open, hoping to catch a breeze to help cool the home office.
Without air conditioner, it was so sizzling in my home, that it made breathing difficult.
The humidity was high, plus the two of us were on high alert for thunder showers, heavy downpours, plus hail every evening. I let the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company think i was strenuous of hearing, so they could make sure the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals were aware. I didn’t think the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was talking to me until I heard something hit the window. I walked out plus asked if there was something wrong, but she turned toward the air conditioner component plus started talking again. I made some noise to get her attention plus told him she needed to talk while facing me or I would not hear a word she was saying. I figured she didn’t realize I could read lips when she cursed quietly plus said something about this being the reason she wanted a lady around. I apologized for being deaf plus said my hubby couldn’t do any better. She was just as deaf as I was. The lady packed up her tools plus got back into the repair van. She provided me a note letting me think they would send an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional who was proper with deaf people.
