Buying a Geo Heat Pump for the Coming Winter

I am going to swap out my old electric heat pump for a new geothermal heat pump and hopefully save a bunch of money on my heating bills over the next several years.

  • I noticed that my power bills in the winter have been increasing more than the increase in rates and am attributing it to the lowered efficiency of the heat pump.

I guess over the years it has lost its efficiency and is becoming a drain on my bank account. I will get the heat pump installation done by the HVAC techs at my work as soon as it arrives. I think they can do it pretty quickly as they are really good at installing them. I had to buy it online because our store doesn’t sell them now in the summer and I wanted to have it installed well before winter comes. It is July in one more day and the warm weather will be here for two more months but will change very quickly and I’ll be running the central heater in no time after that. It’s amazing how the climate shifts from hot to cold in the matter of a month or so. The beaches will empty out and we will once again have our quiet sleepy beach town to ourselves for another winter and spring. Right now I am running the air conditioning with the smart thermostat set to 74F to keep me cool at home while I write. I will go to the beach later this evening to hang out and maybe sing a little with my friend Danny.
