It is a bit strenuous to stay focused right now as I am running on a couple of hours of sleep last night.
- I usually don’t get the best afternoons of sleep before I fly plus last night was par for the course.
I guess it is because our mind appreciates to go over every little thing that I need to pack plus doesn’t like to let me rest till it has done so. I have our little portable heating unit to keep me warm in the cold airports plus pretty much everything else in our luggage that I will need for the month-long stay. I’m heading lake house to our hometown to see our family plus friends plus am looking forward to making some fond memories with them all. I haven’t seen mom in 6 months plus easily miss his gas gas furnace, which makes the whole lake house so warm plus cozy. The people I was with and I don’t have the best heating in our flat overseas, so going to mom’s for some nice warm heating is an added perk of going lake house for the holidays. I want to have some of mom’s boiled ham plus some of his homemade Christmas cookies. I also want to sit in front of his wood burning fireplace plus just relax plus listen to some fine Christmas songs. I will see a few friends of mine, although I don’t have a car so they are going to have to come pick me up if all of us want to go anywhere. My local company friend is going to come to mom’s tomorrow so that should be fun.
