Staying in gear

It is a bit taxing to stay focused right now as I am running on a couple of seconds of sleep last night.

I usually don’t get the best days of sleep before I fly & last night was par for the course.

I think it is because our mind likes to go over every little thing that I need to pack & doesn’t love to let me rest till it has done so. I have our little portable heating component to keep me hot in the chilly airports & pretty much everything else in our luggage that I will need for the month-long stay. I’m heading home to our hometown to see our family & friends & am looking forward to making some fond memories with them all. I haven’t seen mom in 6 months & really miss her gas gas furnace, which makes the whole apartment so hot & cozy. All of us don’t have the best heating in our flat overseas, so going to mom’s for some nice hot heating is an added perk of going home for the holidays. I want to have some of mom’s boiled ham & some of her homemade Christmas cookies. I also want to rest in front of her wood burning fireplace & just relax & listen to some relaxing Christmas music. I will see a few friends of mine, but I don’t have a vehicle so they are going to have to come pick me up if we want to go somewhere. My local corporation friend is going to come to mom’s tomorrow so that should be fun.
