I was making coffee for Dad when he got apartment from work, but he brought a neighbor apartment with him, & they sat at the living room table talking, i knew dad liked Irish Cream in his coffee, & I asked his neighbor if he would like Irish Cream in his coffee.
After his second cup of coffee, he asked what kind of creamer I was using.
It was the best Irish Cream coffee creamer he had ever tried, my eyes must have been like saucers. I wasn’t sure if it was a question when he commented it was Irish Cream creamer, right? My voice was barely a whisper when I told him no. He slapped his head with his hand & said he was a fool. He was on call for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, & he could not go to work after drinking alcoholic Irish Cream. My Dad told him it shouldn’t be a problem. He had two hours before he was on Heating, Ventilation & A/C call. He even gave to find another Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor who would take his locale. He said he was going to hope there were no repair calls, but if he didn’t feel he was safe, he would call & take Dad up on the offer. If nothing else, Dad said he would take the Heating, Ventilation & A/C repair call. The guy was fortunate my Dad owned the Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, or he would have been in trouble! Right then, I was the only one in trouble. My Dad told me I should have told his neighbor it was real Irish Cream & not just creamer. I could have lost his job, if he didn’t already work for his Heating, Ventilation & A/C business.
