Hate the grocery story

I don’t know about you, but I will do anything I can to avoid going into the grocery store.

I am one of those people who jumped on the curbside delivery bandwagon back in the pandemic and has not gone back to the other method. I really don’t appreciate going into any store, but grocery stores are especially challenging for me. It’s not only that there are so many human beings slowly bumping into each other in every aisle, but it’s also the rapid changes in air quality and air temperature as you move from Department to department. For instance, the deli section is usually rather warm when they have hot foods ready to go. But a few feet over you enter the freezer department where it is brutally cold even if you were wearing a winter jacket. My skin cannot keep up with these rapid fluctuations in indoor air temperature as I try to do my basic shopping. I find myself sweating just before I am covered head-to-toe in goosebumps as I walk into the refrigerated section. You would think that they could find a way to manage these large discrepancies in indoor air temperature with a more updated heating, cooling, and air quality control system. Perhaps they couldn’t have one single temperature throughout the entire store, but certainly they could have Zone controlled Heating and Cooling in place. They could alter the temperatures in specific areas of the store to offset the heating and Refrigeration requirements of different food items. With this zone control Heating and Cooling, I know that I would be so much more comfortable. Plus, I would stay in the store for longer and spend more money on their food items… Just pay for the heating and cooling, please.
