When my wife and I started working from home, we were both very excited.
- First of all, we wouldn’t have to deal with working in an office, where we have very little control over anything in our day.
Even little things like using a furnace or an air conditioner were out of our control, and the thermostat was under the power of our manager. Since working from home, we have been able to adjust the thermostat to whatever we prefer. No longer do we have to struggle to dress because of the HVAC units. We can set the thermostat to whatever temperature we want, and nobody can tell us otherwise. The only trouble that I have realized that we are going to face is that our heating and cooling bills have gone up since we have started working from home. When you work from home, you can’t just turn your air conditioner off. With your heating system, you can’t just turn it down while you are working from home. Now, we have to keep the HVAC units running at the same pace for the entire day, as you can imagine, this costs money, and all of our gas savings have been taken by this. Also, since we are using our HVAC units more, we have had to pay for more HVAC repairs as well. There is always a negative side to everything. Still, I would rather pay extra for my HVAC units if it means that I can work from home. Besides, we have found a few ways that we can save money.
