My family was never close growing up, so I never even met my cousins until I was grown and out of the house. I have become pretty good friends with one of my cousins, and we have tried to make a habit of getting together at least once a month. We live about two hours apart, so it is not always possible to hang out, but when we do, we have a blast. We have opposite personalities, but I think that is why we get along so well. I went over to her house a few weeks ago, and we had a lot of fun. I ended up staying the night, and I noticed that her apartment was quite warm. I asked her if she had air conditioning, and she said that she did not. She said that she had been wanting to buy a window air conditioning unit, but she just hadn’t yet. I knew right then that I was going to buy her an air conditioner. I was not sure if I would see her again for a little while, so I decided to buy her an air conditioner online and have it shipped to her house. It arrived at her apartment a few days ago, and she called me up asking if I had bought it. I told her that I did, and she was super thankful and excited about it. I knew that she wanted one, but I did not know which brand she wanted, so I just picked one. She didn’t seem bothered by it, so I think she likes it. I hope that keeps her apartment a little cooler. It was quite warm. I don’t think that I was able to sleep at all while I was there because of how warm it was.
