For the past ten years or so I have been working at your run of the mill 9-5 office job to pay off those pesky students and support myself. While there isn’t anything wrong with working this type of job, I have personally found that as each year passes I feel more depressed and get the feeling that I am wasting my time doing something I don’t love. Well, after quitting that job and doing a bit of soul searching, I am proud to say that I’ve finally found the job that is perfect for me. Currently I am working as an HVAC repair tech and I have been loving every minute of it. This was an unexpected change considering I had little experience in the HVAC industry as an adult, but over time I have been able to learn and apply my skills in real life settings. While working as an HVAC repair tech I am almost always on my toes being able to learn something new or meet new people. For the first time in my professional career I am actually enjoying my time while working and I am not counting down the hours until I am able to go home. Getting a check in the mail every two weeks feels so much better when it is because you were pouring your heart and soul into something that you love rather than something that is just to pay the bills. Now instead of dreading my future I am looking forward to what each day will present to me, and I give all the thanks to the change in my professional career.
