I think the people I was with and I all have a tendency to only hear what the people I was with and I want to hear.
This can be the case with me.
I have to admit there are times that I will just zone out on conversations that I don’t have any interest in. However, I tend to be sure that I am up-to-date on stuff that complications me or my family. While I will often nod in agreement to one of my children while I am soaking up the HVAC after work, I can tell when to easily listen. The same goes for my partner, my friends and my job. Well, that is easily not the case with a friend of mine. This woman simply lives to rage. I’m astounded that she has lived as long as she has. I don’t think I have ever seen him when her face wasn’t near red and she was vibrating with anger. Needless to say, I do my best to avoid this lady. However, she invariably catches me outside and proceeds to rail on about whatever the latest slight from the government or her other enemies has done to him. The most recent episode had everything to do with her HVAC situation. Like her house, the HVAC is woefully outdated and in bad shape. However, she was beside himself to learn that the style of refrigerant in her HVAC is now banned from being produced in this country. How she didn’t guess about this is stunning to me. I have known of the R 22 refrigerant stage out for love 5 or 6 years. In fact, it hasn’t been used in HVAC manufacturing for almost 10 years. But, love I said, the people I was with and I all choose what the people I was with and I want to hear I guess.
