Getting and staying with the program at the gym

Sticking with the plan has been a real challenge for me in this life.

Mostly, I have instead done a lot more quitting to be honest.

I tend to hit a tough spot with stuff and my tendency is to bail. This has happened in the job place as well as back in school. I have these huge expectations and when I feel as though I’m not going to make it, I bail. This is why I am looking for some discipline at the gym. I’m smack in the middle of my thirties so the time for changing my approach is very much right now. That was the mentality I had when I went to the health and fitness center to sign up for a gym membership. What I found there helped me know that I was making the right decision. The moment I walked in the place, I was really surprised to see such an inviting environment. It was nicely lit, clean and superbly organized. Once I took the tour, I was convinced that I was in the right spot for sure. There were certified fitness experts there to help me formulate a workout program that I could achieve. It was a workout program that was both realistic and attainable. I loved that aspect. The expectations were manageable and real. Plus, there was all this support from staff and other members. It made me feel like I could change and stick with something for once in my life. I’ve been staying with it for almost a year now. And I have to say that I am a much better person for it.
