I happen to be the last one in line when it comes to getting in on all the technological advancements.
I think this can be proven by the fact that I had to be talked into getting a smartphone.
And that was only after my tiny cell phone finally quit working. It’s not that I am just completely against technology or have some deep cynicism toward it. I just really can’t be bothered to be honest. I have plenty of tech I have to understand just to keep my nicely appointed and perfectly HVAC controlled office. So, it seems to me to be a bit of overkill to be constantly updating tech in my personal life. To my wife’s chagrin, this means that we aren’t always on board with the latest tech gadget or trend. Mostly, I like to just come home from work and relax in the HVAC comfort of my home. So, this leaves it up to my wife to find and then convince me on anything technological. A recent example is a prime one. And again, this tech advancement was a winner. My wife felt sure that we would benefit from a smart HVAC thermostat. This is something that she really looked into prior to talking to me about it. I was aware of them but felt that it was far too Gadgety to spend money on. Well, I was wrong and my wife showed me how. The smart thermostat is far better at managing the HVAC in our home than I will ever be. Just putting one in and doing nothing else generally results in a 15 percent savings on the HVAC costs. Of course, now we have a smart HVAC thermostat.
